A tornado that barreled through St. Charles County on May 31, 2013 damaged more than 350 homes, according to Emergency Management Agency officials. The EF3 tornado that touched down that night left a path of more than 32 miles and was 250 yards wide at its peak, the National Weather Service said. Hardest hit was a street in St. Charles, not far from where the tornado first touched down. Haversham Drive saw three homes with only interior walls remaining after the tornado, with several other homes sustaining damage on the block. Wind speeds topped out at an estimated 150 miles per hour there.
